I can’t believe that it is the end of September already! I have been meaning to post some updated pictures here on my blog, but keeping up with my girls schedules can be challenging at times. This summer flew by! We went to Maui this year. It was so much fun. This was our third family vacation and we had such a blast. Here are a few pictures that I took in Maui. I took over 800 pictures & am still trying to figure out which ones I like the best. We had a incredible time & made wonderful memories.

This is one of my favorites of my oldest daughter, I love the sunset & the lighting.

And here is my youngest, who always refuses to have her picture taken. But I love this one of her.

I will be doing holiday mini sessions this year. Please contact me at michele@michelekennedyphotography.com for more information. I have a waiting list as I only have a limited amount of spots available. I will be posting more details soon!

This is one of my favorite sunset pictures I took last year. This was taken at Poipou Beach in Kauai. We had a fabulous time in Kauai with our family along with my mom. It was the best family vacation, EVER!

MY HEARTBEAT, MY INSPIRATION…
As a young girl, I wanted a BIG family of my own. I remember telling my mom I wanted SIX kids, just because I loved “The Brady Bunch” so much. I had a plan, my life mapped out as a young girl, so I thought. As I got older, I came to the realization that three would be suffice. But life sometimes doesn’t work out the way you planned it. I am so blessed to have two healthy, kind-hearted, loving, compassionate, little girls who are MY HEARTBEAT, MY INSPIRATION….

Last year, after we were done with our home renovations, we decided it was time to get a new family member. Our yard is large, so our hunt began for the perfect family dog. We looked at shelters & mainly at rescue organizations based out of Orange County, Ca. A few years back, my beloved Cookie & Blondie both passed, they were 18 years old. I had them from the time I was a teen. I have always loved dogs, and as cheesy as it sounds, my heart ached for a family dog. Our girls have a love for all animals alike, especially dogs. So during that time, I got them 4 hermit crabs to keep their little minds occupied.
The hunt began in Mid 2010. We waited until we got back from vacation in August to make the big commitment. We looked, looked & looked. And we all had our hearts set on adopting a German Shepard from Coastal German Shepard Rescue. They are a incredible rescue organization. I wish I could adopt one more, but for now, my two girls who are under 7 & my 4 year old, 65 pound, full bred German Shepard keep me busy. We are just over the moon with our new additon. Roxy, our Shepard, has a incredibly sad story. She was dropped off at a high-kill shelter in the Inland Empire by her owner. No one knows why, but it appears that she has had some type of trauma in her early years. She is slowly re-building her confidence up. She is a loyal dog & companion. She loves my girls, and always has her eye them when we are out. Roxy, is the BEST. DOG. EVER. We are so lucky to have found her. Since she is considered a senior, or close to it, dogs like Roxy are overlooked most of the time. This is because people want puppies. She has been given a second chance & we love her so much. So here she is, our newest addition to our family, Roxy. xoxox
