This photo session was so much fun! I just adore S & R! This is my childhood friend & her son, we met in high school when “Walk This Way” by Run DMC & “You Give Love A Bad Name” by Bon Jovi were the Top 100 songs of the year. Wow, time flies.

R is the sweetest little boy I know.  My girls enjoy having play dates with him. They always have a good time.  My friend also is a small business owner, you can see her site HERE.

And this is one of my favorites….

Thank you S & R for allowing me to capture some great images! Looking forward to our next playdate! xoxo

MY HEARTBEAT, MY INSPIRATION…

As a young girl, I wanted a BIG family of my own. I remember telling my mom I wanted SIX kids, just because I loved “The Brady Bunch” so much. I had a plan, my life mapped out as a young girl, so I thought.  As I got older, I came to the realization that three would be suffice.  But life sometimes doesn’t work out the way you planned it.  I am so blessed to have two healthy, kind-hearted, loving, compassionate, little girls who are MY HEARTBEAT, MY INSPIRATION….

Last year, after we were done with our home renovations, we decided it was time to get a new family member. Our yard is large, so our hunt began for the perfect family dog. We looked at shelters & mainly at rescue organizations based out of  Orange County, Ca.  A few years back, my beloved Cookie & Blondie both passed, they were 18 years old. I had them from the time I was a teen.  I have always loved dogs, and as cheesy as it sounds, my heart ached for a family dog. Our girls have  a love for all animals alike, especially dogs. So during that time, I got them 4 hermit crabs to keep their little minds occupied.

The hunt began in Mid 2010. We waited until we got back from vacation in August to make the big commitment. We looked, looked & looked. And we all had our hearts set on adopting a German Shepard from Coastal German Shepard Rescue. They are a incredible rescue organization.  I wish I could adopt one more, but for now, my two girls who are under 7 & my 4 year old, 65 pound, full bred German Shepard keep me busy.  We are just over the moon with our new additon. Roxy, our Shepard, has a incredibly sad story. She was dropped off at a high-kill shelter in the Inland Empire by her owner. No one knows why, but it appears that she has had some type of trauma in her early years.  She is slowly re-building her confidence up. She is a loyal dog & companion. She loves my girls, and always has her eye them when we are out.  Roxy, is the BEST. DOG. EVER.   We are so lucky to have found her. Since she is considered a senior, or close to it, dogs like Roxy are overlooked most of the time. This is because people want puppies. She has been given a second chance & we love her so much.  So here she is, our newest addition to our family, Roxy. xoxox

Yeah, I am finally caught up with Project 52! I had so much fun this week.  I finally got my 4 year old to cooperate, which was great. I was so thrilled. Why is it that photographers have a hard time photographing their own children? I think I have tortured mine too much, enough said.  My oldest daughter actually loves having her pictures taken, but my youngest not so much.  I got some great captures of my girls in my backyard. Our backyard has some great scenery, so I thought I would take advantage of it.  Here are a few images of my youngest daughter, who is the most compassionate, adorable, funny, charming & beautiful 4 year old I know! How did I get so lucky??? Here are a few from our very brief session, which lasted less than 10 minutes.
